LASER SKIN RESURFACING

Laser skin resurfacing is a non-surgical treatment designed to improve the overall appearance and quality of the skin. Many laser treatments also stimulate collagen production, helping skin look firmer and more refreshed over time.

Laser resurfacing uses controlled light energy to create changes within the skin that encourage natural renewal and collagen remodeling. Depending on the technology used, treatments can target concerns ranging from pigmentation and redness to texture irregularities and aging skin. At VitalFusion Med Spa, we offer advanced laser technologies including Sciton MOXI® and Sciton BBL HERO® to address a variety of skin concerns.

To help ensure the best possible results, guests should limit sun exposure and avoid tanning for at least one week before a MOXI treatment. We also recommend discontinuing retinoids, exfoliating acids, and other potentially irritating skincare products several days before treatment unless otherwise directed by your provider.

Following a MOXI treatment, it is important to keep the skin hydrated and protected with sunscreen. Most guests experience mild redness and a sandpaper-like texture as the skin renews. Makeup should generally be avoided for the first 24 hours unless otherwise instructed by your provider.

Prior to a BBL HERO treatment, guests should minimize sun exposure and avoid tanning for at least one week. To reduce the likelihood of irritation, we also recommend avoiding retinoids, exfoliants, and other aggressive skincare products before treatment.

Following a BBL HERO treatment, guests should use gentle skincare products and practice diligent sun protection. Depending on the treatment performed, temporary redness or darkening of pigmented spots may occur before the skin clears. Your provider will review specific post-treatment instructions to help maximize your results.

While both treatments improve overall skin quality, they address different concerns. MOXI is a gentle fractional laser that focuses on improving skin tone, texture, and early signs of aging by stimulating collagen production. BBL HERO uses broad-spectrum light to target pigmentation, redness, sun damage, and visible blood vessels. Many guests choose to combine MOXI and BBL HERO for more comprehensive skin rejuvenation.

The number of treatments depends on your skin concerns, goals, and the treatment selected. Some guests see noticeable improvement after a single session, while others achieve optimal results through a series of treatments. During your appointment, your provider will recommend a customized treatment plan based on your skin.
